The inability to conceive and carry a child to term is one of the most heart-wrenching challenges a person can face. The fear of childlessness can feel as devastating as a life-threatening disease— because in many ways, it is grief for the life you had envisioned, for the children you feel should already be in your arms.
I see that pain. I honor it. I had felt it myself. And after nearly three decades of counseling and advocacy I also know this: Buying into the misleading catchall diagnosis of “infertility,” we don’t just risk unnecessary medical interventions and further disruption of our hormonal and reproductive health—we also lose sight of the singular opportunity for deeper healing that comes with this crisis.
This mini workshop and the Fertile Heart work is about reclaiming that opportunity. It’s about using technology—when it’s necessary—in a way that serves us. It’s about acknowledging our pain, but refusing to be victimized. It’s about expanding our sense of the possible.
In this one-hour introduction to the Fertile Heart OVUM Process we’ll explore –
- What does a truly holistic approach to low AMH, recurrent pregnancy loss, failed treatment—or any roadblock to the path to parenthood—look like beyond the usual recommendations?
