Low Cost IVF, Fully Confidential: Isn’t That What We All Wish For?
Low Cost IVF and Someone to Understand Our Pain
Isn’t that what we all wish for?
Someone to offer a low cost, or better yet, insurance covered IVF, a no-cost-sure-fire-fix for this hellish infertility disease?
Someone who would understand our pain?
Someone who would keep our secret?
After all, no one needs to know how ashamed and humiliated we feel. We’ll even help our best friend with her baby shower and duck into the bathroom to freshen up our make up when the tears well up.
To be able to place ourselves in expert hands
We’ll place ourselves into the trustworthy expert hands of fertility specialists, follow instructions, consult doctor Google for a few diet tips.
Maybe we’ll spend a few hundred dollars on fertility supplements.
And wake up pregnant in no time
If all goes according to plan, the fertility drugs they’ll give us, will produce just the right number of follicles. Not too many to cause ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome, but enough to freeze a few embryos for the next baby in a couple of years. After all, didn’t they say we had an 80 % chance of pregnancy? Didn’t that famous infertility specialist say,
“You are an easy case, we’ll get you pregnant in no time.”
But the latest study says it takes 5 failed I.V.F.’s to bring a baby home. That is, if you’re under 40
According to the latest study published in the Journal of American Medical Association, most women actually go through 5 failed treatments before they conceive. Not that there is ever a guarantee. Ask Mandy Queally or Gen Glassman, they were in their early thirties when they first started trying.
And if you’re over 40, as I was, you might as well turn in the towel. According to that study you really only have a 4% chance to conceive through IVF.
Is there a better way? You bet!
Mandy Queally found a better way after four years of failed infertility treatments. Gen Glassman found a better way, but only after she and her husband spent over a $100, 000 , before I got to welcome them in our studio and then hear Gen’s voice every two weeks, on our fertility support teleconferences.
And wouldn’t you know? After eight years of failed IUI”s and failed IVF’s Gen, like Mandy, became pregnant with only one collaborator. Her husband.
Louise Lawson also found a better way in the Fertile Heart OVUM workshop. but only after she went through several rounds of free IVF. They were free, because Louise was part of a study at the most prestigious Boston IVF clinic. She also went through three miscarriages.
Then she stumbled upon Fertile Heart. And guess what?
Louise also conceived naturally and delivered that gorgeous little boy at 44.
How about you, are you ready for a better way?
Don’t’ get me wrong, I do appreciate technology when it serves the Mom and Dad’s best interests. When it protects them and the baby from harm. Check out the gorgeous babies on the IVF Stories page.
But in nearly twenty years of teaching I’ve witnessed the journeys of way too many people who lost far more than the 15,000 to 45, 000 dollar they spent on treatment.
So maybe before you dive into the deep waters of IUI”s and embryo transfers, wouldn’t it make sense to make sure you’re clear about the one essential truth: “Infertility” can feel devastating, but INFERTILITY IS NOT A DISEASE. It’s a symptom of a myriad of explainable and not readily explainable causes. (You can check out that page for more on that subject)
Before you get swept up by the panic of the last good egg, wouldn’t it make sense to learn how to be your own best advocate?
Yes, we can also talk about fertility super foods & supplements, but that stuff is easy.
To be able to say, No thank you, when all the experts say your time is running out, that takes guts and a bit more preparation.
The 3 Session Introductory Teleconference Series gives you just that. The access to the part of you that can choose a better way.
As for understanding your pain? I’ve turned enough dragons in my own heart into friends, I can lend a hand with yours.
Can’t wait to say hi to you on the next teleconference, or give you a hug when you get to Woodstock for the next workshop.
xo,
Julia
