It seems like time to stop reading and start doing imagery and relaxation!
This morning I really sank emotionally.
I was initially pleased to have a low FHS of 4 at age of 45. Now I realize my estradiol of 153 can mean the FSH is suppressed and "too low." One study says there is no difference in pregnancy outcomes from high estradiol, another insists it is a big indicator of ovarian reserve.
What strikes me is that these blood tests are aimed at predicting how I will respond to stimulation meds. Why try to predict what we will know for sure in a couple of weeks?
It is the tyranny of statistics.
I am fortunate to have an RE who is going forward and whose goal seems genuinely to try to help me get pregnant. (The down side is his clinic limits this approach to three cycles.)
I envy Kerrie (age 47) the peace to simply "wait for that good 3rd or 4th egg" as her RE suggests.
