   My acupuncturist has recommended I eat more ginger. But I thought I had read or heard that it impairs fertility.
   Can anyone confirm this?

   I've heard that ginger brings on delayed menses and can cause early miscarriage in pregnant women, but I don't think it impedes fertility. Does your acupuncturist specialize in women's health? You might express your concerns to her directly and hear what she has to say. If you're skeptical, don't do it ... it seems the stress caused by worrying about it would counteract any potential positive effect.

   In Fern Reiss' book "The Infertility Diet" she recommends avoiding ginger completly if you've had problems with miscarriage.
