Is Peanut Butter bad for ttc?
(3 posts) (3 voices)-
I recall having read that peanut butter isn't good if you're ttc. I love peanut butter, as it's one of the few protein sources I have. Anyone know about this? Thanks. -
Hi there - I eat organic p. butter with celery often and the only ingredient in it is peanuts. I'm thinking this is okay--I would stay away from the p. butter in regular stores b/c they have sugars & hydrogenated oils & other bad stuff. I'm curious to see if anyone knows anything about this-I hesitate to know--I love my p. butter too!! :) Good luck--Lori from PA -
According to TCM PB is very mucus forming, which can cause damp conditions in your body, which can cause unbalances such as canadia etc. etc. Peanuts also are know to get rancid very quickly so it is likely you are eating rancid peanuts. The only fresh peanut is one you shell yourself. I have been using almond butter as an alternative for years now and I don't even know the difference now. I also enjoy tahini (ground seseame seeds) which I find a little bitter but a little honey does the trick at breakfast. A halzelut butter is a real treat if your wanting something a little more decadent. Good luck. Marlee
