   Does anyone know where to get this or if you can make it yourself? I can't find it anywhere in NYC. My RE said I need to do this 1 hr before BDing, how long is it effective as my husband can't take the pressure and is struggling right now. My CM is acidic and killing off sperm which is why my RE has recommended I do this.
   Thanks for any response.

   He suggested any drug store and Masengill brand which they do produce but no one carries it.

   I also had problems with my CM and failed two post coital tests.

   I have now read numerous pieces of research that indicate that dairy products can significantly impact the acidity of CM. I have stopped eating all dairy products, as well as taking Flaxseed Oil (and a number of other things - all suggested on this board), and I have noticed significant improvements.

   Re the Post Coital Test, some interesting research out followed couples who had failed this test, and those that passed it. The pregnancy outcomes were identical - even though the couples who failed it were given significantly more interventions (IUI, IVF etc) than the other couples. My specialist said that he doesn't even do the test anymore because it is so unreliable, and CM can change so often during the cycle making the test very difficult to time.

   These instructions were given by my doctor, Dr. Sami David:

   1 tablespoon fresh baking soda dissolved in 1 cup boiling water.

   Let cool to room temperature.

   Fill simple hand held douche with the solution ( a Massengil douche container that has been emptied of its previous contents).

   Fill tub with 2 inches of warm water or lay towel i tub, then

   while LYING DOWN FLAT in the tub, gently douche for no more than 1 minute.

   after completing the douche, stand up in the tub, cough and place a finger in the vagina to remove remaining water.

   have relations 1 to several hours following douche. The douche lasts 24 hours.

   Hi, I forgot to mention that my doctor said that this douche is only to be used at mid-cycle, usually for 2-3 times per month. If used more frequently it can, in some cases, cause a urinary tract infection.
